If you've previously used our Free Speed Test tool, you may have noticed that your score has changed. Google provides the PageSpeed Insight score and recommendations to ToolsCrowd. Because Google modified how it calculates the score in the fifth edition of the PageSpeed Insights API, your score has changed.
Previously, the PageSpeed Insights score was mostly determined by the conventions used to decrease page size and accelerate the rendering process. The updated version considers these parameters but additionally changes the score depending on other factors derived from Lighthouse diagnostic tools (lab data) and field data (real-world experiences).
PageSpeed Insights collects data for mobile and desktop speeds from many sources, resulting in a page score and recommendations for optimizing the page.
